Liberal Cynic - Thanks! I'm making a list of all the volunteers now, and I'll add you up under "anything to help out!!"
I agree with Moddex - at the moment, we've obviously got a lot of enthusiasm for the vocals. That's awesome! But, right now, it is probably a better idea for the not-so-fun stuff to get taken care of, like figuring out what the story will be and how long it will be, and also how exactly it will be animated. That's all gonna have to be discussion between the writers, and probably D.C. once we get her involved. I have not yet been contacted via email by anyone other than Osprey. We need to get moving along with the script now, so I'll go ahead and get the writers working on that. We'll also probably start working on some animation tests, soon.
So, things boil down to this -
I am looking for artists! I need good animators and/or storyboard artists! We also need people to draw/paint the backgrounds. Remember that this is going to be created mostly in Flash. I'd love to have Octan front most of the flash work, but he may not be available all the time... so it would be great to have more people involved who can use Flash, also. I have Flash MX, but I'm not good at using it. Yes, I do plan to learn now, however.

And just so you guys know, I'll probably be posting about this project at various art forums so we can get lots of animators involved.
As far as writers go - thanks for all the support, but I think we're covered as far as writers go. One writer would be enough, but we've got three or four now, which should be perfect. Thanks to everyone who's offered themselves up for sacrifice, though! haha!
And lastly, as far as the voices go... well, I think we'll just have to wait for now. Seems like a lot of people are ready to start working, but we've got to get the writing done first so we can decide just which characters we need auditions for! And also, I've mentioned this before, but I should state it again - I'd like to hold auditions over at
VAA. I know a lot of people here want to try out, and I also know that there are some great voices here! But if the equipment that you're using can't produce the kind of results that are going to be needed for the animation - then we can't use your voice.

Sorry, I don't mean to be harsh, but it's the truth. I'd really like the sound quality to be as high as we can get them - and if the recordings are fuzzy, distorted, or too quiet, then we just can't use them. I know you all want the best for this project, too - this is for DCS, and for all the fans who want to see an awesome animated cartoon featuring Ozy and Mille! We need really high quality audio, visuals, writing... everything. That's not going to be easy for anyone!! BUT, do feel free to keep posting audio - it's just too much fun to act out the comic strips
anyways, I think I've covered all the bases for now. Writers (and you, Moddex), please get in touch with me by emailing me at -- mandoandy (at) gmail (dot) com -- so we can start making decisions.
Oh, and yes... one other thing. I would still like a little "I'm D.C. Simpson, and I approve this message" stamp stamped onto our project.

So... I guess I'll be emailing DC a letter, soon. I just have to work up the nerve to actually write it and send it.
