Remember months ago when I came up with matches between major O&M characters and Super Smash Bros. Melee characters? I finally started drawing the mixes. Here's a starter:



Ness's psychic powers seemed good for a character who's a lot more active mentally than physically. If the thought of Ozy attacking at all bothers you, know that Ness's powers aren't entirely for offense.

Ness also is close in age to Ozy, but so is half the cast, so no big deal. The fact that both have been seen with yo-yos, however, seemed to merit attention.

I was going to draw the mixes in pairs, with Jeremy as Donkey Kong replying to Ozy, "Shut up! At least you don't have to wear a tie." The only problem was that I didn't feel like drawing DK-Jeremy. Maybe I'll get to that later.

This was my first imitation of DCS's drawing style.

EDIT: And I just noticed that his tail is completely hidden. Hm, no wonder the outfit doesn't feel right.

I like this one better. It requires less imagination. Millie has Mario's hyperactivity, but her inner mad scientist demanded the Dr. Mario outfit. I told her to stand still long enough for me to draw, but that didn't stop her from making jumping noises and whatnot.

I think next, you should draw Felicia as Peach. Or perhaps Timulty as Pichu.

I agree with Ozy. That outfit really doesn't look right on him. Still, nice drawings!

Did you think of those independently, or were you remembering the matches I stated? Anyway, it so happens that Felicia was next, followed by a duo of Timulty and Avery.

Locke was a hard one to match, because his personality is so inextricable from his piracy. For now, suffice it to say I didn't choose Fox McCloud. That guy is too cool for a match.

The pants were indeed my reason for having him say it didn't feel right. But from the looks of it, these pants are worse than usual for giving him a tail cramp.

I feel so justified to know that Fekeal and I were thinking along the same lines for Felicia and Timulty.

I will now look up who this guy is and do a crossover because not knowing about him, and therefore not being a fan I have no notion of attaching any un-touchable significance to him.

yeah...I'm with Tabris here. Fox is cool and all but I think he can be crossed over too...its just that no one in O&M really fits him.

I'd love to see someone try to do one of the characters as Link, that would be interesting.

I'd like to see Llwellyn as Link. I know it dosn't really fit him, but imagine Llwellyn in a tunic. ^^

I don't know about the rest of you, but I've found Princess Peach Toadstool very annoying ever since she got a voice. I almost feel sorry for Felicia here.

In SSBM, Peach has an intricate golden pattern near the bottom of her dress. I was going to mimic that pattern, but it wouldn't come out well here. Besides, she doesn't have it in any other game that I know.
