I never thought about this, but is Stephan pronounced Stee-v/fen, Stef-on, or stef-ann?

I've heard two possible pronunciations: "STEFF un" and "steh FON." I sure hope it's not pronounced the same way as Steven and Stephen, because those are confusing enough already.
