Yea, Vicodin's dangerous stuff. My health teacher almost got an addiction to it. He said his doctor puts him on it for a month, then puts him on a different medicine or a placebo for a month, or some weird system like that. Just be careful, and talk to your doctor to avoid getting addicted. It's just nasty stuff. Of course, I'm dosed up on Ny-Quil right now, so...ohh, pretty colors...ah, Ny-Quil, the moonshine of medicine...

Heh. I was prescribed vicodin when I broke my foot last year. I stopped taking it (cold turkey) when I forgot I had a job. Oddly enough, I don't recall an increase in pain without the medication. I'm weird that way.

My apologies on the much belated reply. I've been rather busy in a number of areas. This is the first opportunity to actively peruse the board here in a while that I've had. I suppose a bit of an update is in order. Well on Dec 15th I had the surgury. Spent a couple of days in the hospital and went home. I had a aproximately 4 inch by 6 inch plastic mesh installed. Things proceeded smoothly, Wereskully was a great him during my being a invalid at home. Thank you! Well, on Dec 26th I had the staples removed and I was taken off the Vicadin. My surgeon was very happy with how fast I've been healing and I can look forward to no further appointments or visits to her. Needless to say I spent the first week or so at home in a serious daze. On jan 5th I was approved to return back to work. My coworkers were very happy to see me return. During my absense I found out that a lot of work had piled up. While the guys tried to keep up there was no way that they could do so and there were a number of things that required my knowlege that they couldn't deal with. Talk about job security! I have to wear an elastic binder for the time being but that's no problem. I'm also under a 20 pound wieght restriction ( no lifting over 20 pounds). One thing that I've inherited from my mother is the fact that I heal rapidly from sickness or injury. The downside is that I have a tendency to sleep a lot. So therefore over the last week and a half or so, I have a tendency to come home, eat and then crash, But bit by bit, I can feel myself getting better and better. Which is good since going the other way would really suck. (grin).

You can expect to see and hear from me more in the future.

I really appreciate the good wishes that I've recieved from everyone and I look forward to becoming a regular (No metamucel needed) person here again.

-Eugene Koberle
(Bendarr)
Yay! Sleep is probably why you're healing really quickly.
