Heads up...

Postby VenM2 » Thu May 31, 2007 3:01 am

Just to inform you that I managed to get my chunk out of the internet at last. My college provides free hosting for student web spaces. I have so far created a website that was made for my Computer Arts final project so not much O&M in there. Just know that unlike in DA, I am able to post videos over there and use it as file hosting. If anyone needs anything I have that can't be done by e-mail or what so ever I can provide on my site. However I will not upload anything that violates the policies there.

Secondly, I just want to show off my weak CGI

btw, as of this moment the Ozy and Millie in 3d work I am doing is now officially on hold since I won't be in college during the summer.

Lul

My friend just went "Wtf" when I went to that site. I'll check it out at home.

From the glance I got it looks great. (I didn't get to see the splash though.)

I got a look at the models and they look great :D

Did you code the site yourself or use some sort of template?

It looks really good, but unfortunately I don't know anything about 3D design.

That's why I said it looks really good, even though I'm not a fan of mechs and stuff.

Thanks for the replies  ! Well you don't have to like mechs. Just know that they are the one step before going on to living beings. They have limbs and walk and so need a bone/skeleton structure in order to move. Because of this I have had plenty of time to practice animating mechs before going on to anything 'alive'. My Millie model is a prime example.

About the site, I used a template because I couldn't seem to make a good one from scratch, it looked so ugly if I did that.

BTW, when I showed this project to the class (the website) They said 2 things: 1. 56kers will hate this site! 2. That fox laying down doesn't fit right... He doesn't seem to integrate well.

HE!? Millie may be a tomboy fox but she ain't no boy! My reply: It's a SHE! A SHE!!!! Gah!

Oh, that reminds me.

We had a senior here who was really great at drawing mechs and such when I first came here. They were essentially many blocks, triangles, and other such stuff. Now he can draw humans with detail I've never seen in person...

So you start from the bottom and work your way up I guess...

Drawing :? ? You mean on paper or in 3d? Many people in my high school kept asking "YOU DREW THAT!?" so don't mind if I get confused.

Nice! Very nice!
Seriously though, the CGI is quite good.
gforce422 is awesome because:
-He made the absolute nicest comments about me in the other topic. I didn't respond to them yet, because I suck, but they are greatly appreciated! =D
-I would say he would also be a good runner up as one of the nicest people alive.
-He joined the IRC sometimes. But not enough, I say! Chat moar =D
-He is evidently only 18 year old but he could easily pass for 25. =D
-He is a drummer like *I* am and this in itself is cool.
