New Features
Moderator:Æron
I recently built my own PHP-based forum (built from phpBB), and I've discovered the wonderful world of hacks, add-ons, and other customizations (www.phpbbhacks.com is a wonderful source). This got me thinking, would new feature add-ons be a possibility here?

If it's something do-able without a PHP expert on call, it could be a fun way to customize the board (though this forum software seems to have a lot more features than phpBB).

Just a random 5:00 AM thought!

There's a lot of a good mods out there for IPB (which is what Define Cynical runs). One place to go is Invisionize which used to be IBPlanet.

So... here's an informal request for proposals.

If we are to upgrade to a new system, we need a way to keep as much of the existing information as possible and consider the implications, i.e. the additional resources needed, the downtime necessary for a migration, the user-friendliness of the new system, what additional staff would be required, etc..
