I'm sorry if I'm bumping old topics, but no site I've ever gone to before has it been a crime to respond to a topic still on the front page, and within the first few topics.

And most sites tend to have higher levels of traffic then this one. Besides, the rule on a forum is based on the number of days since a topic was last discussed, not where it is on a list...

Well I think thats a tad silly. Isn't more posts, and more discussion better for the site even if its in an old topic? Its not like it will push down something people are discussing to another page or something.
