Well, part of the humor is in observing the maturity gap with Ozy's deadpan, and part is in thinking of why Avery might want to give Timulty a bottom. I know of two possibilities for the latter:

(1) He thinks Timulty would stop laughing and be freaked out.

(2) He refers obliquely to the phrase "have your [bottom] handed to you."

Yes, among other things. He'd also say that we had nice round apples, or shiny red apples, and would make comments about wanting to eat or smell our apples. Like I said most people would get sued for that, especially with students.

That's.....extremely wrong. The worst my teacher would say is something like "This computer is being a pain in the apples." Seriously though, your teacher could have been suspended likely for sexual harrassment.
