If my parents are overprotective, I'd hate to see what underprotective parents are like.Honestly if my parents monitored my internet use and saw those ads at the top of a page I regularly visit, they would probably have the site blocked on my computer.
It just sort of puts one off.
Your parents are crazy and over protective. You better watch out if they ever catch you watching Happy Days (They discuss premarital sex on their, and its even implied that the Fonz takes part of it!)

Thanks for mentioning Flashblock, RKN. I didn't know it existed.
I use Adblock and Adblock Filterset.G. Install those, and pretty much every ad is gone. Most ads come from certain providers, y'see, and Filterset.G blocks those, and updates every so often.
If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place. (Revelation 2:5, NIV)

I don't block flash because I need it at times. As far as I can tell, the ads are region specific, as I only ever get either an ad for a Canadian ISP or an ad for Bell, which provide satellite TV in Canada (fig. 1). So I highly doubt DCS has any control over it.

OK. pants it. I lied. It's drum and bass. What you gonna do?
