Offhand, the only successful transitions are from comics that already have a deal of action, most of them comic books rather than strips. (I wonder how the Bone game will turn out.)

As for the TV show, if DCS has the attention span to write enough 10-minute episodes, I could dig my batty persona showing up as long as I wasn't supposed to be an obstacle.

I also have to disagree here. One dosn;t imediatly come to mind but I'm sure there is a way to make a vedio game basson on O&M. I think a RGP type game coudl work rather well if done properly.

The more I think about it, the more I think more that the basic format of Dizzy games would work almost perfectly.

I mean, lets see... The plot of the first one - Making a recoverative potion by collecting three items.

The plot of the second one - win a cruise, unfortunately on a pirate ship, get thrown overboard... Collect enough coins to pay for a ferry ride home.

All the action of them take the form of puzzles and platforming action. And not the sort of platforming action that states 'jump on enemy hurts enemy'. In fact, the early Dizzy games didn't really have enemies, just 'natural' traps.

They're also some of the best platform/puzzle hybrids I've ever played.

Just because there is a fanmade OMVG in production doesn't mean that other people shouldn't have a concept on what an OMVG should be like

That won't happen until DCS recognizes it as such.

Who sleeps shall awake, greeting the shadows from the sun
Who sleeps shall awake, looking through the window of our lives
Waiting for the moment to arrive...
Show us the silence in the rise,
So that we may someday understand...

Actually, I'd prefer the TV show, too. That is, if I was on the recieving end. I think it'd be better, but I'm still makin' the game.

Garfield didn't suck perse. That's the entire problem with Garfield, actually. It's good enough to not be something you mind, but to refer to it as 'good' is... Well... A severe exageration. It's mediocre, in any guise, and seems to revel in that fact. Which is kinda the problem with alot of US television. Most of it is mediocre.
