I start on Monday, and I think I may be looking forward to it. Whee, Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop classes!

. . . Yes, I'm insane. At least they'll balance out the suffering of Calculus and Composition.

No fair... All I have in my high school is autocad.

I'll be getting more chances to draw, though, so hooray. I've got a talent in listening and drawing simultanously. Plus, less chores because I'll be doing "homework." (That one always works.)

Wait . . . they have you use AutoCAD without doing any drafting by hand? That's just incredibly backwards. After all, what if you eventually get into a situation where you're drafting, but can't use a CAD program?

OK, I'll say this. I've been in school since July 18th. We start earlier than anyone in the whole wide world.
Who sleeps shall awake, greeting the shadows from the sun
Who sleeps shall awake, looking through the window of our lives
Waiting for the moment to arrive...
Show us the silence in the rise,
So that we may someday understand...

When life gives you lemons, make apple pie. Much more delicious than lemonade.

Well my first year in highschool is about to begin and I'm already in Bio and Lab, Algebra 1 (I have to take it over I didn't do well on my placement test I think I got like a 70 . Actually only two people got into Geometry freshman year and their identical twins who always seem to undermine me when people think of intellegence (though they are actually very smart though in a very straight forward way... if that makes sense...)), accelerated Language Arts and History, Visual Arts, and Technical Drawing.

I can't even remember all that I'm taking...

I think it's Geometry, advanced History and English, mythology, autocad 1 and 2, industrial arts 1 and 2, general biology, intro to art, phys ed (yes!), and pc applications.

Mees confusezed . Blue Blur I thought you were 14 and your school offers Mythology? I wish my school offered Mythology seeing as I want to be an archaeologist . What is Industrial Arts and Autocad? Like I said "Mees confusezed "

Yep, I'm 14. High school offers mythology to all grade levels. Unforunately, I can't get the higher sciences because my school thinks all 9th graders are too stupid to handle physics or chemistry.

Oh, and industrial arts is shop class, and autocad is a 3D modeling program.

The only cool course my High School did was A-Level (16-18) Music Technology.

We were the only state funded High School in all of the North West of the UK to have a recording studio and practice rooms in their own contained building.

My graduating class got an award for the best Music Tech A-Level group (at a state high school) in the entire country.

Pretty ego boosting to my mate Max, who got the highest grade in our class.

I don't think its that they think 9th graders are to stupid to take Physics or Chemistry its more that they don't think they can handle those classes at the age most 9th graders are. Thats different than being "stupid" it just more of a maturity thing and being more responsible. I think chemistry is a 10th-12 grade class and Physics is genarally a Junior and Senior year class (infomation brought to you by my dad). Actaully Bio is actually normally a 10th grade class I think so you and me are lucky to have it at all. I wasn't actually suggested for Bio and Lab (I think its the same thing as General Bio) but I took it anyway because I'm sure I could do it. So good job on getting into Bio and Advanced History and English (we call it Language Arts here I think... Though I may be still be a bit brainwashed from Middle School ). Actually I think "acelerated" classes in my school are the equivilent of "advanced" classes.
