Oh - I agree with both views. The friendship isn't going to develope into a love, but neither is it not going to develope into something deeper. As I said earlier, while (thanks to too much dating sim knowledge), I can think of two ways it can go. Either they will develope into a love, or they'll develope into the equivilent of very close siblings, which in my view would be a deeper love than a romance and is more likely.

I think DCS wrote the "How About THIS" strip just to get it out in the open. Because Ozy and Millie becoming... you know... an Ozy and Millie... was on everybody's minds at the time. He sort of knew it was what everyone was thinking, even if only just a little bit. He may have been thinking it himself, a bit. So--with no real intention to carry it futher--he wrote that strip to satisfy that curiosity. That's what I'm guessing, anyway.
