I detailed the fretboard before I drew the hand for some reason. I know that was dumb of me so I won't do it next time.

Weird, but on the point of the ear folding.

If you accompany very low positinoned ears with a suitable facial expression, you'll definitely get the desired expression.

It's familiar, but no.

Also, not every Metallica song is a work of art. Not by a LONG shot.

This coming from someone who does like a good portion of their work.

I'm more of a muscian than an artist and I know a good piece of music when I here it. Plus the lyric is a song from their latest album, The Day that Never Comes.

the hand is at an unnatural angle, in reality he would have his palm higher on the neck for that fingering. it hurts, bro.

You don't have to tell me twice. Fix hand angle. Gotcha!

Same here, bud.

Also, Doog is right. the hand is at a very awkward angle for playing like that. The fingers would have to be more spread out, and the hand would be more perpendicular to the neck.

oh, and for a side note, musicians are artists. just a different kind ;P

Hey! Metallica songs are not dumb! Every single one is a work of art!
Ain't My Bitch?

For the record I think Ride The Lightning, Master of Puppets, Justice and Death Magnetic are all pretty solid.

Who sleeps shall awake, looking through the window of our lives
Waiting for the moment to arrive...
Show us the silence in the rise,
So that we may someday understand...

It fits more.

I don't listen to lyrics I listen to the actual intonation, articulation, rhythm, melody, harmonics, and beat of the song.

I don't listen to lyrics
There is so much wrong with this I don't even know where to begin.

I listen to the actual intonation, articulation, rhthym, melody, harmonics, and beat of the song.
Metallica has never been at the forefront of making outstanding music. If you think that theirs is a work of art clearly you have been living a sheltered life as it comes to music.
