This joke would have worked if Llewellyn had had a serious chance of becoming President of the United States. Trouble is, people who run for the office with no real chance of winning are a dime a dozen, and they typically receive little to no public or media interest. Unless the story turns out that Llewellyn does become a serious candidate for the Presidency after all (in the O&M universe, that is).
