Yes, the excessive number of stars clearly spoils the picture. Other than that, I like Millie's answer.

It's not so much the number of stars as the size of them. If you've ever lived out in the countryside away from cities and towns, there are several times more stars that you can see, comparatively. City lights spoil the view of the night sky.
