In panel 2, Ozy seems to be listening pretty intently to the tree. Wonder what the tree is saying to him?

It was not until now that I understand the punchline. Before I read those words as disconnected adjectives to describe himself but now I get it.

the speech balloon is the tree talking, not Stephen. It's the tree who wrote that letter to Felicia.
