This reminds me heavily of the Calvin & Hobbes strips where Calvin opines about what constitutes 'nice' in regards to how it affects Santa's Christmas haul.

That's a waste of perfectly good whipped cream. Now what will she put on pumpkin pie?
This strip, and the one after it, are wordy, but I like seeing Ozy and Millie just walking through the woods talking about the kind of philsophical issues smart, introspective kids wrestle with. I think in a way, their friendship is founded on doing exactly what they're doing in this cartoon.
That which does not kill me, cripples me for life.

I must have had a strange childhood because most of my philosophical discussions back then were about Chrono Trigger.

I remember when I was around 12, me and a friend had a lengthy conversation about the values and faults of the de Montaigne essay "On Solitude".
