I like the way I draw tree trunks; I still pretty much draw them like this. But at the time, as you can see, I was kind of struggling with leaves.
Everytime I hear that tune I always confuse the two. I'm not the only one who hears the similarity apparently. I actually used to think M.C. Hammer's song was from the 80s.Ironically enough DCS could also have used M. C. Hammer's "U Can't Touch This". Which itself was taken from Rick James's song "Superfreak"!
Technically, 1990 is part of the 1980's, as a decade begins with a year ending in one and ends with a year ending in zero. Thus the new millenia actually began in 2001 and not 2000, which was still part of the twentieth century. And 1980 was part of the 1970's, with 1981 the first year of the 1980's. Listen to some music from 1980 such as Donna Summer's "Upside Down" and you might change your mind.A decade starts in 1 January of a year ending in 0 and ends on 31 December of a year ending in 9. 1980 to 1989. You can argue against this until the cows come home with cow tools but you ain't going to convince me 1980 was in the 70's.
And don't all rap songs sample songs from the past to a degree? It's kind of like how in folk/blues music the same melody or lyrics are used to fit around a new song.
