That rabbit looks snazzy

That Raccoon in the back looks like an older version of Timulthy.

Meh. The problem is that is requires the reader to know what Amway is. There are several & strips with varations of this gag and none of them ever made any sense to me. Was DCS regulary harrassed by them at some point? I dunno. I just can't find this strip funny or interesting.
Panel two is mega cute, though!

Well, they could have said they were Jehovah's Witnesses, but that would have only caused genuine offense.

Re: Friday, May 29, 1998: Amway
I think it was just 'in' to make fun of Amway; I've heard more about them via stand-up comedians and daily comics than I ever have in real life. It's like making the 'fun size' joke, or the 'Washington overreacts to stuff' joke, or the 'no shirt, no shoes' joke, or any of the 'stock' jokes. You hear them so much they become abstracted.
Re: Friday, May 29, 1998: Amway
This was one of the strips that confused me at the time since I didn't know what Amway was. I just assumed it was some orginisation notorious for collecting donations and this was a joke about people not being inclined to donate if they can get away with it.

I think Amway sells things door to door.

Look at Ozy in this strip.
Picture Ozy doing something like this in the later strips.
Picture Ozy doing something like this in the later strips.
Who sleeps shall awake, greeting the shadows from the sun
Who sleeps shall awake, looking through the window of our lives
Waiting for the moment to arrive...
Show us the silence in the rise,
So that we may someday understand...

my first thought.Look at Ozy in this strip.

This was the strip that introduced me to amway... once I learned what it was I thought DCS's amway strips were pretty funny.
Apologies to everyone. Except Fritz.
First of all, Fritz, do yourself a favor and research your own answers before you post.
