I hate the way she draws everything now. Her style is just annoying for some reason. Maybe it's just because I associate it with the terrible story.

DCS: Uh oh, looks like those Define Cynical guys were starting to find the story interested. Better ramp up the pretention to about eleven for this one and make sure it is as pointless as possible.

I imagined it to be more like "It's MY WEBCOMIC and I'll do WHATEVER I WANT WITH IT *footstomp*"

*writes painfully liberal storyboard in ten minutes*

I had a similar experience only not quite as funny... mine was about the guy with the pickle in his ass. Still was a lot more fun to read than Raine Dog. Seriously DSC, if you're reading this, just fricken stop all ready. Put us, yourself and that blue dog out of our misery.

I certainly feel like I'm learning one too many lessons that I don't care about, which is pretty much the opposite of the reason I read web comics. Granted it isn't supposed to be funny or anything, and I understand that she's taking a huge symbolism dump all over the comic, but that sorta makes this strip (and so many others) that much worse, because it proves shes just using this comic for what she could rant about on a myspace page nobody cares about instead if plaguing the delicate system of internet entertainment.

Also, something reeeally bothers me about the second to last panel. That's the epitome of what I don't like about the rain dog art style.

Above all else, this webcomic makes me see why conservatives hate liberals.

I actually starting to wonder how healthy it is for a dog to be a vegetarian. Maybe this leads into the story about Raine Dog dying from malnutrition.

Wow....I can't believe how much DCS seriously degraded.

Two years ago, he was writing decent short stories and gags for Ozy and Millie.

Now, we're enduring one of the crappiest comic ever created on the entire planet created by the same creator of once the great ozy and millie comic.

DCS, If you're reading this, Just stop this bullshit..

Horribly unhealthy in fact. Dogs are carnivores by nature, they require the nutrients found in meat to be healthy, and they can't get it from substitutes like tofu, etc. There's a reason dog food is made out of meat. DOGS EAT MEAT IN NATURE. CAN YOU HANDLE THAT?

If DCS had any sense this is exactly what would happen.

Were all those teeth necessary in the penultimate panel?

I think that all the teeth were meant to show the irony of a huge dog with a bunch of sharp, pointy teeth, eating a little veganshit snack.

Except I doubt it that much thought was put into any of this.

That'll destroy just about any art style, really.

Granted, this is not a very good art style to begin with. It's okay-- but what astonishes me is that s/he had a much superior, much more detailed art style with Ozzie & Millie and somehow managed to crank out a strip every couple of days, yet this style -- significantly more simplistic, to say the least -- can only be manufactured at a rate of one strip a week? This does not make sense.

When the majority of your audience is tuning in out of sheer morbid curiosity about what happens next, distributing things so slowly is not a good tactic.

Were all those teeth necessary in the penultimate panel?
I think it was stating the delicate irony that Raine will eat vegetarian dog snacks despite the fact that it goes against her very nature -- illustrated by her teeth, visibly intended for the express purpose of tearing meat -- in order to live by her own choices, regardless of how 'unnatural' they seem to be.

So no they weren't.

Geh. Beaten.

Loss of eyesight is actually the first symptom of a dog on a low protein diet. This is why Raine Dog wears glasses.

This old artstyle of DCS beats the new art style anyday:

I wish DCS could get slapped and go back to his old DETAILED art..
