Now for some commentary from someone else regarding the last strip:

Interesting edit there, but I doubt that it'd go down like that.

In this world, dogs are, at least at this point in time, still viewed as animals, and not people (though Raine is the latter, as I see it.) Which would mean that Jeff would be held responsible for that, and is bound for a trip to some counselor/psychiatrist soon. Poor kid.

As for Raine, though, I think that this would also prompt the parents to send her to the vet to get ♠.

Yup, one of those instances where I wish I was wrong. Thinking about it today, the last page was like watching a train wreck about to happen. The results would be horrible, and there wasn't anything you or anyone else could do to stop it.

And Dog-Boy sex... wha? They're both just kids, they probably only have a very vague idea of what sex is, but they do know what a kiss is. Love, yes, but sex? Nah.

Huh, this account still works. Years ago I came here to ask about English idioms and expressions in O&M. I've gotten better at those.

Today I ask: dear dog owners and people with experience of anthropomorphic drawings, what are we looking at in the last panel? Is it a surgical scar or a sewed-up body part that in homo sapiens may be known as a cooch or poontang? Or is this like the Gary Larson strip where the author didn't realize that he'd drawn a dog humping a car until the letters started coming in?

We are already in the kiloGreg zone by the Deegan scale of pain. If it's the former, I'll see where this goes. If it's the latter, I'll come back in half a year to make notes about storytelling. If there's any kind of reference to female circumcision, I'll start destroying the evidence.

Its a surgical procedure to control the pet population and apparently discourage your dog from making out with your son. There are probably pictures so, yeah.
