and to a lesser extent the "inside-out" background color in the last panel.
It's not inside out. I prefer and have always prefered the lighter color in hte middle, with the darker color outside.

Yeah but I think the hue change is a bit too... 'in-your-face'.

...ever turned on that option in MS Word where it makes the screen green monochrome?
