I've never seen comics repeat. Except when there are re-runs due to away time.

Obviously, you've never read Garfield, which has been repeating the same jokes year after year since 1983.

I've seen repeats occasionally in my newspaper's comic. It's still awesome after ~10 years of running.

<i>Sigmund</i>, a Dutch comic. About a mean midget psychiatrist with one blind eye <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://definecynical.mancubus.net/forum ... /smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->

You know, as much as we lament the present state of comic strips, I find that past ones were about as likely to repeat themselves. "Krazy Kat" is a notorious example. "Pogo," which I usually like, did slight variations on its botched Christmas carol year after year. And in its last decade, "Peanuts" repeated itself more directly than almost any other cartoon in my lifetime.

I may lament, but I find solace. Ooo... that almost sounds spiritual and all I'm talking about is reading comics online!
