Loving the grey overcast day there, GW. And the way the sky and grass blend into white at the horizon gives a nice sense of distance <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://definecynical.mancubus.net/forum ... /smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Actually, I didn't mean for it to look overcast, but I guess that actually compliments the mood here. I actually did this a while back, and was still trying to figure out how to make gradients that worked well. Actually, I still consider doing the backgrounds to be my weakest point with coloring strips.

The greyish blue gives the whole strip a very melancholic feel, which suits it somewhat, especially in the first panel.<br><br>I'm not sure how the white works in the second panel. Perhaps an equally atumnal colour in an arch over the top ( and fading into the white) would have looked better. Oh well, still looks nice (and who am I to complain without even the proper colouring programs).

When I read that strip I imagined the scene being more cheerful and not so depressed but it's good anyhow.
