Music Forum?
Moderator:Æron
Quoting from elsewhere:
"It's one thing to have a general "talk about your favorite music here" topic, but a forum for it allows a lot more opportunity.
Generally, there are individual topics devoted to a certain type of genre or even a certain band. And when you have these topics presented from someone you know, its more likely you'll be introduced to different types of music through them. I myself can devote 20% of my musical library through such topics. This is something you can't pull off in the Anything section. "
But do you think it would actually be a good addition? Vote on it.

Who sleeps shall awake, greeting the shadows from the sun
Who sleeps shall awake, looking through the window of our lives
Waiting for the moment to arrive...
Show us the silence in the rise,
So that we may someday understand...

Mmm, wha?
Oh hell yes, I've been needing a good music-specific forum, music type threads usually go to hell, it'd be good to have somewhere to keep that stuff specific.

1.3 million threads about Belle and Sebastian.

Who here actually listens to any of that?Lots of MCR threads and/or threads about boring j-pop/techno/whatever the hell kids listen to these days?Out of curiosity, what would go in this new forum?

Eh, closest I get to "j-pop/techno/whatever the hell" is a couple videogame music remixes. By a couple, I mean I think about three, and one of those is the electric guitar remix of the FF6 intro, which I don't really think counts as 'techno'.

EDIT: Note that those were just examples.
Killin' the first born of lyrical Yul Brynners.
I voted yes. I don't know how many topics it would get (too bad we can't have subforums), but I think if we want to talk music, then a whole forum would definitely end up better than a single thread, and hey, I predict it would be more active than the House Rules forum.
It's true, there isn't much music compatibility here, but not all the topics have to be about bands...I'm sure there can be discussions about instruments, musically-related people, music created by forum members, band camp (lulz), etc.

OK. pants it. I lied. It's drum and bass. What you gonna do?
The fact that none of you drugfaces know who Paddy Willis is tells me that we need a music forum.
To be frank - the hilarity of the Arlo/Ibun musicality situation made me gigglechortle enough to stick around.
It was a very good month. If you want more drugmonths like this facemachine then vote 'Yes" on referendum Milk 09

As a drummer, it would be a sin for me not to vote yes.
Astro> gforce's smiles can cure cancer in kittensgforce422 is awesome because:
-He made the absolute nicest comments about me in the other topic. I didn't respond to them yet, because I suck, but they are greatly appreciated! =D
-I would say he would also be a good runner up as one of the nicest people alive.
-He joined the IRC sometimes. But not enough, I say! Chat moar =D
-He is evidently only 18 year old but he could easily pass for 25. =D
-He is a drummer like *I* am and this in itself is cool.
