I can't seem to get my profile to keep my birthdate...
Am I just being a dunce, or is there something wrong?

This sounds like an obvious question, but do you have your cookies enabled?
EDIT
Okay, I seem to have the same issue and I do have cookies enabled. Maybe it's the site javascript? For some reason, I'm now 22. (The year got forced to 1986.)

It's all part of a great plan to keep everyone aged 16 for ever by the unscrupulous dictator LikeAFoox! Let's all work to overthrow him!
Also it's an old problem to do with the way the server processes the foroum skin, try switching to a different forum style and you should be able to set your birthdate should you so desire.

I tried the skin thing, and it took away the thing that lets me attempt to set my birthdate...

Try the Milliecorp skin. It has all the options available.

Not the one to set your birthdate. (Birthday stuff is only on the regular DC skin.)
Also, don't check the settings page to see if your birthdate is correct - check your profile page (that profile button on your post).

Heh, funny thing... I decided to try switching to Milliecorp to see what it looked like, right? And the dropdown box wasn't even there! And none of the radio buttons were selected either.

This is probably related to various other AJAX-y problems.

Didn't think phpBB used AJAX. Yet anyway.

Thanks for mentioning this. I don't know what the problem is, but I can think of atleast two things I'll likely check.
Strange thing about the Milliecorp skin though. I didn't know that skin used the same profile pages. Does this mean people on Milliecorp can't change their skin back to the regular one?

The regular phpBB skin doesn't. The DC skin is modified quite a bit.

MillieCorp used to use the default PHPbb setup

I'll have to have a play and rebuild it at some point :O Maybe with some flashing lights and floating handlebars
