Half a page.

Postby Caoimhin » Fri Aug 31, 2007 6:57 pm

Sometimes when I click on a topic it will display only about half the page and then cut off, but at the very bottom of a post, a clean cut. Refreshing the page seems to work I was wondering if anyone else had that problem, I've just been having it today.

Edit:It happened again this time when I went to the Anything forum.

Only problem I've ever had with the forum is when I click the last page of the "Word Association" topic it says the thread doesn't exist. I click the page before last and it turns out the page I clicked earlier hadn't even gotten started yet.

As for forum cutof, no clue, but once someone had a signature that spread down and ate everyone's posts :O

I use FF (as do many or most of the members of the forum I believe). I'm not having any problems today it could have been just a temporary glitch.

Edit: I spoke too soon it happened again o_O.

I use IE (unless I want to go to IRC, then I use FF)

How long does the page take to load? It could be the server script timing out.

Also I don't do the majority of the maintenance. Our resident IT pro is a cantaloupe.

Blasphemy

I'm using Safari right now, since my dad's laptop is a Mac. (I grew up using Macs for the most part, but things have changed.)

On my home computer I use Opera which has built-in IRC.

Firefox is a great browser. Opera has some good features but people would probably choose firefox over it.

Internet Explorer however... ick...

Personally I've had the same problem on DeviantArt, but I haven't noticed it very often otherwise.

It isn't blasphemy. I just happen to like IE. So, you don't. That's your choice.

It takes a normal time to load and since I'm not a active member of any other forum at the moment so I can't say for sure if its an isolated occurance.

This brings back memories...happened to me a lot when I was using IE on my old computer running 98SE. I got Firefox back then to try and fix this and a couple other problems, and it did.
