A lot of the links next to the Define Cynical banner at the top of the page are not working, including the chat. When you click them they just lead you to the forum home again.

Well, all those links are grey instead of blue. That must mean something. The site has just recovered from a crash and all. There simply must be more things in need of repair.

Well, you may not have noticed, but the forum is the only thing working.

Well yeah. That, and the link to O&M seems to not crap up either.

The entire site has been deleted and the only thing that was backed up on the entire server was the forum database (thanks again to Manc). The site as it is, is on my other computer which has decided to go on the blink, and as soon as I can get it working I'll re-upload the site. I'm sorry that I can't do it sooner, I really wish I could.

Hope you understand.

this has been a bad run for computer this past few months, i've had to reformat both of the major household computers here, something i've NEVER had to do! Midnights computer was doing some wierd things over the break. the computers at my school have all been wacky, although that is the schools fault with software choices. Mancunet server goes down, and as soon as that's up again, 5h has computer problems.

Sunspots, anyone?

actually, solar activity has been aprticularly odd from last year, now that you mention it. This was supposed to be a much calmer year for solar activity, we had those odd solar flares that cased araura borealis as far south as mexico, rather large sunspots for months before and afterwards, and increased overall flaring for an extended period of time. while i know sunspots to mess with radio signals, i didn' t think they would adversly effect computers so... even in such odd solar activity.

Yea, I was thinking about that. We had some major solar flares recently. They said it didn't do too much to interfere with communications, though, so I assume that radios have been better protected against such events. Maybe they were what caused my wireless internet to keep messing up, though. I wish I could harness the power of solar photons for my own evil puroses. ::cackles evily:: But I shall say no more...don't wanna give away my plot...

Haha.. My cellphone was a nightmare to operate at that time, as I recall. Yeah, it affects communications, but home computers are probably nowhere near as badly affected by it.

yeah, for whatever reason, during the 7 year cycle, the sun this time around decided half way through to throw a tempertantrum or something. And yes, i believe it was messing around with wireless networks and things.

Okay, the chat page is back up, with big thanks to Tavis. :)

Heh, don't have a cell phone. Well, didn't then, so now. Point is, I likely wasn't effected.

It just hasn't been a good month in general. Maybe 2004 is just and evil, EVIL year. It's turning out to be that way so far. Sunsposts could afect computers but it isn't likely. There is a small chance, however.
