I was wondering why the link on the site points to nl.acidchat.net in the first place. Wouldn't it make more sense to just have it link to random.acidchat.net instead?

From the acidchat site.due to spammers and con artists hitting up irc.acidchat.net, we now use random.acidchat.net irc.acidchat.net directs to 127.0.0.1

I fail to see how such a trick would be effective. Redirecting to 127.0.0.1 is how you break the Internet. (They should be using NXDOMAIN.)
