[laughs] Tavis, you're like the Lego opposite of me. I used pirates and spaceships to play games like "House", and you use the Belville figurine to do kickboxing. These things crack me up

It was because I was briefly considering using it as an artist's model for Project Imagine, a story I've been writing about a child of light (an artificially intelligent program designed to simulate tactics and infiltration trapped in the holographic form of a child). Hm.. the model aspect seems to be on topic with the current strip too. Cool.

Anyway, the figurine's not as flexible as some stuff I might want to draw (like sitting crosslegged the way Ozy does when he drops his present in my Christmas strip), but it helps establish how one would lean to hold one leg straight forward and level and yet remain perfectly balanced on the other foot. As a figurine, though, that one still has some charm.

Yea, Felix, you're at the other end of the spectrum from me. As I said, I used my Lego Castle armies to burn and conquer towns. Legos helped me develop my earliest pyromaniacal tendencies. Except that girl I played Legos with sometimes made me use my knights as townspeople so she'd have knights and dragons in cafes and have her figures take orders from them, at which point I left to play video games. Then another one of my friends would come over with his alien Legos and abduct everyone from the cafe and I'd join back in. That's the cool thing about Legos--they're uber-flexible and you can have 4 different time periods taking place at once.

Mine was more the ongoing saga of an elite force with forces of good (the S. Agents), bad (various names.. couldn't stick with one I liked), and other factions (local law enforcement, the invasion of new themes spawning technology, or mysterious guys that seemed to be random elements in their fates.) Most of the townspeople were extras, the "normal" people that would be freaked when a destructive battle suddenly breaks out in the streets..

my lego stories were comepletely random, as any good lego thing would be! my misadventures would be a lot like tavis', but were not interupted by 'house' or anything like that.

I wonder if all these Lego things need its own thread, or if it's good enough here.. I mean, the talk about the 10000th post has gotten old after over another 1500 posts were made.

Ohhhh swords. I like swords. I don't have any yet. They're hard to hide in a dorm and the staff checks up on me ocasionaly. They once confiscated a dagger of mine. Stupid RA's. I'm in a fencing class so I'm learning how to use swords. I wasn to take sabre but I can't because of a conflic with Algebra. I'm taking foil though. I will learn sabre someday. Also get some real swords. Swords are important.

Quote:

Airplanes? Where? I went to an air show at a naval base once...hey, that's an O&M cartoon! I love O&M, it''s my favourite comic strip. I also like Dilbert, but not as much as O&M. I particularly like Dilbert because the Pointy-Haired Boss reminds me of some of my computer repair customers. I fix computers for people in their homes, it sucks but it gets me money. Money sucks, people put too much value on it. But without it, it's hard to survive. Survivor was a crappy show, it kicked off the reality TV craze. Come to think of it, all reality shows suck. I don't watch much TV anymore, I'm usually on the computer. I love the internet, it's lots of fun. But there's bad stuff on it too. Bad stuff is bad, but saying that makes me sound like some really conservative people I know. I like to debate Bible-thumpers, they make fun toys. I like toys, too, especially Legos. It's fun to build stuff with Legos, I used to build things all the time. I once built a huge house out of Legos, but my dad wrecked it because it was too much like a doll house, and therefore too girly. I can't stand my dad, I'm glad I don't talk to him anymore. But on the other hand, everything I know about computers started with him.

This moment of insanity brought to you by caffiene, David Bowie, and a dead wolf.

Are you confused yet? If not, you might want to consider therapy.

I understood all of that and loved it. The best parapraph I ever read. Evrything flowed so smoothly from one thing to another. That paraghraph is like ohhhhhhh *drools* Yes I have considered therapy. It's not a nice thing. It alos has to tie in wiht why the dorm staff checks in on me from time to time.

I used to play with legos. My favoritist thing was a passenger jet I built. I made it look like the plane from Sim City Clasic. I loved that game. I would fly my plane around the house and make it crash into things. Probably because tht's what the plane in Sim City Clasic would do. One you get to a point the game would demand an airport and then it's gone. The plane crashes way to much. The fixed that in later editions. Also the helicopter wold change your view all the time. In Sim City 2000 you can shoot down the helicopter with the centering tool. In Sim City 4 you can get a tank and drive it around and blow things up. You need a army base and the upgrade. Sim City's so awsome. It's my favoritist toy. I play with Sim City.

*raises hand* I caught all that too! Does that qualify me as crazy?

I used to play with legos, but not much. I never made much with them. I used the K'nex-y things back then to make stuff. Lots of stuff; but I can't remember their name. Oh well...
Still mostly here.

actually, that may qualify you to wither teach small children, or to get payed to listen to people who rant like that, like those with ADD and ADHD. I never think to copy down my "ranting conversations" though, i'm to busy talking/listening/ making the conversation change topic at mind boggling speeds.
