Well, I would think that it would be best to keep any mature points as they are - in other topics - without singling them out as being so.

It probably wouldn't be used much anyway =|

ok, Felix asked me to post this for him.

Quote: (FelixLockhart)

Since I'm unable to post to this board (thanks to maintenance my ISP is doing), I asked FoxChild to post this on my behalf:

A "mature content" forum would probably not fit the best here, but I think the Current Events forum could contain controversial issues, since those issues are frequently in current events.

I do like the idea of a current events section, or an area for more seriouse and worldy topics, although i'd hesitate to call it a 'mature' section, for 3 reasons...
1) maturity on this board? (well, we may be better than some, but I never really examine my maturity level, or most of anybodys for that fact. If i ever notice maturity level, it's due to a huge lack of it)
2) I don't want ppl to see 'mature' and think it's like the mature section to a video rental place
3) current events and worldy things are many time in and of themselves not mature. perhaps calling it "in the news" or 'world events'. but 'mature'?

Somehow, I relate most "mature" discussions to be very immature discussions about things most of us would find icky, and not in a good way. There may be a time and a place for everything, but this isn't it.

Yeah, I agree with Tavis. A mature board would be bound to degenerate quickly to something no one would want to read.
A Current Events forum can be divided into two, World Events and Local Events, but this would need some tough rules to make sure there isn't any "Why don't we bomb Iraq and finish it up!!? They're useless and give the world a bad name! I don't see why Bush is being so stupid!! Doesn't he want to end terrorisim!!?" or other comments like that.
Believe me, I don't want that to ever happen again, my poor PM system...

I don't know if this was suggested earlier on another update thread, but I'd like to see some more board skins.
