Well, we have all seen the Define "Cynical" banner at the top of the page for ages, but of course, the image it was based on has long since been updated. In fact, <a href='

I didn't like the new one when DC first made it, I don't like it now. <!--emo&--><img src='

The new one definately looks a lot cleaner, though I think some people are hard to let go of the old one <!--emo&:wag:--><img src='

I wouldn't call it cleaner, it looks like it has some resize problems.

If we do end up changing to the bottom one, it should probably be re-lettered; I don't know what Ghostway used for the outlining (though I could guess) but it doesn't look right. I'd suggest raw text with a dark drop shadow in lieu of outlines:<br><img src='

The outside edge of the characters is a bit off because, as you may recall, the new shirt design has a yellowish oval behind it that had to be yanked off the hard way. That could be remedied if we ask David nicely for the original PSD, or whatever higher-quality image he has without the yellow, to work with.

DCS <i>did</i> post a version of the new artwork here without the circle. I'll probably go back and see if working from that improves anything.<br><br>As for the text outline, I just applied a one-pixel outside stroke to a text layer in photoshop. I'll agree that it looks Quite Ungood.

Alright, I've updated it a bit as per Octan's suggestions:

I must admit that as much as I wanted to vote for rutabegas I went for the original version, which I think looks better than the updated one since David's art style from that time period is more appealing to me than the other.

I just had another idea, actually. Using the actual speech bubble instead of text.<br><br>Okay, I'm done now. Looks like any of the new designs are likely to lose anyway.

The older one looks far more cuter than the new one.

I dunno. I guess I'm just used to the old one. The new one looks weird.

The older one is cuter I reckon <!--emo&:wag:--><img src='
