I found y'all through Google; I never knew this place was linked to on the Ozy & Millie site. I was wondering if anyone else out there was feeling squicked out by Raine Dog. I loved Ozy and Millie, but man.Well even though Simpson took down the link it seems that new members are not having any trouble finding the place.
We have a new member. The first to come, I believe, after Simpson took down the link.
The Raine Dog threads were entertaining.

I don't feel this "abandoning us" is very significant. Like others said, she never owned us in the first place and her attitude sometimes in the past alienated more than she thinks.
I'm pretty sure I've suggested the lack of focus on unifying theme and no steady flow of new members is a road to forums being a place for the regulars who've stayed to talk about pretty much anything. Not that it's necessarily a bad thing, there's still a lot of great people here. It's just a recipe for gradual erosion I think.
Forums being for multiple comics is possible, but only if they can keep going.
