Cannot find server. And Internet Explorer because I am incredibly lazy and it came with the computer.

OK, "Cannot find server" is a DNS error.<br><br>Here's how to fix it: Open c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts in notepad (it's a text file). Add the following line at the end of the file:<br><!--c1--> <table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>CODE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='CODE'><!--ec1-->129.97.152.14 www.student.cs.uwaterloo.ca<!--c2--></td></tr></table> <!--ec2--><br>Save the file, and reload your browser. It should work.<br><br>(Basically, since your ISP's nameserver is unable to provide an IP address, you're storing it locally.)

I'm not sure I want to mess around with my browser's code... Would whatever be worth the effort?

It's not code, it's just your computer's internal DNS cache. (Its at /etc/hosts on my computer, and I don't even use IE)<br><br>If you don't want to do that, then you <i>could</i> alway try and find another DNS server...<br>

Perhaps it's an issue in your avatar code? It used to work :-\

I suppose I am in luck that I'm satisfied with both my signature and avatar. <!--emo&:unsure:--><img src='http://definecynical.mancubus.net/forum ... unsure.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='unsure.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Oh, and I found the problem with Internet Explorer and my avatar - it didn't like certain headers, so I got rid of them. Hopefully it works now. (It worked on my copy of IE, at least.)

Is that why, in the last 5 minutes that I've been logged on, I've seen THREE different avatars? <!--emo&:wag:--><img src='http://definecynical.mancubus.net/forum ... ailwag.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tailwag.gif' /><!--endemo-->
