Having trouble posting threads in The World

Yesterday I was having trouble posting a thread in The World about a new MSN feature I found funny but every time I went to post I got a general error, a list of all the words in my post that it couldn't post and something about functions_search.php

If we could get that fixed and maybe a water cooler or hot chocolate machine installed that'd be great !

Yeah, there are certain characters that aren't accepted in the text area for people to post. You need to strip off characters like "fancy quotation marks" and em dashes--or else you will get errors that keep you from posting.

I would suggest you send a link to the article along with a summary or commentary of the article if it continues to be a problem.

If the article has a Printer Friendly Version, pasting that into the post also usually works.
