Remembering 9/11/01

In memory of all of the people who died on this day, and for the friends and family they left behind. My thoughts and prayers are with them all.

Really was a sad day. My prayers also went up and still go up for the families. Especially of those who jumped, one of which is a net friend of mine. To this day she still refuses to enter skyscrapers or go any higher than the 10th floor of a building.
May God rest all their troubles in Him.

Maybe one day it'll stop being used as a political tool but I somehow doubt it.

It's sad, yes, but it's nothing compared to the number of innocent people who die in conflict every week. People like to ignore that until it happens to someone in their country. While the actions of the terrorists disgust me, the general apathy of the Western world disgusts me more.

My thoughts go out to all the victims of human injustice.

Also, the haphazard stumbling of human interaction with one another and our perilous environment. God bless the victims of tea-cosy accidents.

I didn't mention it because it wasn't quite as relevant, but obviously I am unhappy about that too. Of course, it isn't our fault directly (and therefore not in the same kind of league) but if we can do more to protect people from the callous mistress that is nature then we must, and I don't think anyone would deny that.

A lot of terrible things happen in the world every day. 50 people will die of in Pakistan, or wherever, and the world doesn't stop and remember, it just keeps moving. Are western lives that much more valuable?

Better two day's late than never. Not much I can say about my experience. I was in 3rd grade (I'm pretty sure) and I didn't realize the enormity of what was happening until quite awhile later. Still, my thoughts and prayers go out to those who suffered because of this.
