Gary Gygax, known best for his co-creation of Dungeons and Dragons, passes away at the age of 69.

I'd like to make a note that I find it kind of funny that a man responsible for the tool that kept many teenagres virgins would pass away at 69 years old.

Apparently he rolled a 1 on his saving throw vs. death. :P

Seriously though, I used to play D&D. Still have a bunch of books. And if you think less of me because of that, I truly don't care.

I probably would have gotten into it if I had known more people that played it.

The startup cost is what deterred me. The bare-essential source materials alone cost a combined total of over $150 before tax, unless you get lucky and find them in a used bookstore. And that doesn't count dice, pencils, paper, and scenario manuals.

We'll always remember him through his works, his legacy, and his appearance in that one futurama episode.

The funny thing is I had know idea what you were talking about in the poll till I read your full post. So...no...I never played Dungeons and Dragons. Don't really know anyone who has really. Not saying that it's a bad thing if ya do...just not my cup of tea. Still my condolences.

I'm probably going to Baator for laughing at that.

A role playing game. See link below, for I don't know anything about it other than that. :P

Oh, and Gary Gygax, rest in peace.
gforce422 is awesome because:
-He made the absolute nicest comments about me in the other topic. I didn't respond to them yet, because I suck, but they are greatly appreciated! =D
-I would say he would also be a good runner up as one of the nicest people alive.
-He joined the IRC sometimes. But not enough, I say! Chat moar =D
-He is evidently only 18 year old but he could easily pass for 25. =D
-He is a drummer like *I* am and this in itself is cool.

AAAAH, so true. Or even worse, the Negative Energy Plane. ;)

If I could live on an Outer Plane, my choice would be either Mechanus (if playing in the default setting) or The Barrens of Doom and Despair (if playing Forgotten Realms; I'd hang out with Hoar, the coolest deity ever).

Maaan. I used to play D&D with my brothers when I was younger. I loved that game. <3 I don't play it anymore (But I still clicked yes. Hahaa) and since I haven't played it in years, I probably suck ass at it now. xD Haha.

I wonder how many people will go to his funeral. They should tape it.

Heh.. I must admit I haven't really given any thought about what Outer Plane I'd most like to live on.
