Well, today is the anniversary of when Neil Armstrong and Edwin Aldwin landed on the moon for the first time in human history.<br><br>Any thoughts?

I'd like to see the full footage of them on the moon. Is there somewhere online I can do that? (If nobody knows offhand, I'll break down and do some research when I get the chance.)<br><br>Some believe(d?) that the landing was faked. I never saw enough to judge.<br><br>Too bad Armstrong botched his famous statement just a tad. Technically he said "for man" and not "for a man," thereby rendering the sentence asemantic. But I can't blame him, given the excitement. Ever see the Onion version of the story? Totally loaded with various swearing, including the transcript between Armstrong and Houston.

Also of interest is the newly-launched <a href='http://moon.google.com/' target='_blank'>Google Moon</a>, based off of Google Earth. Make sure to zoom all the way in to witness a groundbreaking astronomical revelation.

Pun intended on "groundbreaking"?<br><br>The first time I clicked that link, I zoomed in but didn't let go of the mouse, so I didn't see it.

It's nice to see that they don't save their sense of humour for the first of April every year.
