Who the feck cares. I couldn't give a flying one. And frankly, the idea of a God wanting you to worship him through fear of not getting to "heaven" is sickening to me.

If he wants more than for someone to just lead a decent honest life, then sod him, and I'll see you all at the bar in Hell.

Incidentally, my paper today has an article about an author who focuses on America's waning of belief in heaven and hell. He asserts that "heaven" basically translates to the presence of God and "hell" the absence of God, and that all you have to do to maintain his presence is accept it with love. That's a much more palatable way to put it than "Worship God or be punished."
