I've said this in another forum, but it's still a little hard to say it. Some of his books were my favorites when I was a kid (Rendezvous with Rama still rocks for me). Rest in Peace, Mr. Clarke.
Okay, now let's complain about him. My biggest problems with his "Odyssey" series and his "Rama" series is that they should never have had sequels. 2001 was just fine as it is, and the other three Rama books never quite captured the spirit of the original. On the other hand, each of the sequels wasn't content to just spit out a carbon copy of the original, and he honestly tried to give us a completely new story for each entry, so I've still got a lot of respect for the man. Though nothing he wrote (or indeed, nothing anyone has written) quite matches up to Asimov's "The Last Question." It's no fault of Clarke's, but The Last Question just takes the cake. Okay, rant over, back into mourning.

I have no respect for people who QQ over dead celebrities as if it had some sort of impact on their life. You people have no respect for Avant-garde.
EDIT:
Yeah, and you have a lot of damn room to talk about respect. That sucks.
Don't feel too bad, there's life insurance to collect on.

This from the single most offensive denizen of DC.Thank you for adding so much to the conversation by saying something that I have heard many times before and thus am bored of hearing. This from the single most offensive denizen of DC.Yeah, and you have a lot of damn room to talk about respect.
Anami and Anami are sitting around Anami says "GRR I AM ANGSTY LET'S EXPRESS ANGST" and so Anami says "ONE OF THE MODS ON DC IS A DICK I POSTED A PICTURE THAT WASN'T REALLY THAT INAPPROPRIATE AND THREE MODS SAW IT AND DID NOTHING THEN A FOURTH ONE SAW IT AND DELETED IT" and Anami says "OMG I HATE MODS >:("
