Well, it's official now. Hamas, the Palestinian militant group is now the majority party in the Palestine government.

My opinion of Hamas is one of similarities with the IRA. Both want what they see as "foreign invaders" removed from what they see as "their" country. They both used military and terror tactics to forward their message. However, the IRA was completly seperate from their political wing, Sinn Fein.

Hamas on the other hand are both militants, and now politicians. I wonder if they'll be able to seperate the two. I have a nagging feeling that it's going to end up with Hamas saying one thing, and using the militia to enforce it.

I however, have no favourite in the Israel/Palestinian conflict, and the two are as bad as each other as far as I'm concerned. Like squabbling brothers.

That's my opinion, what do y'all think?

It doesn't matter who's in charge in Palestine, be it Fatah or Hamas or any other group, the Palestinians and Israelis will still be at each other's throats.
Perhaps politics will teach them about compromise and less radical tactics.
