Well, the first black comedian to adress racist issues has died.<br><br><a href='http://www.nytimes.com/2005/12/11/arts/ ... chardpryor' target='_blank'>Here's the article</a> I read.<br><br>Shame, he was absolutly brilliant. Far better than the "the difference between white guys and black guys" crap that Chris Rock coems up with. I saw him only twice. The first time was back when he was getting started; in a few minutes, I turned the rented video off (whereupon I saw "Beverly Hills Cop 2" getting started, incidentally). The second time was a lot of fun, even the parts that had nothing to do with race or sex. He even made his heart attack out to be hilarious.<br><br>This semi-early death does not surprise me, but I find it a solemn occasion.

While I do not mean to be disrespectful to him, I never did really find him funny. That being said, he is still a big influence on comedians today, and it is a great loss.
