I'm sure this sort of thing will lead to some sappy after-school special being made. "And remember kids, don't bury people's heads in sandboxes! The More You Know!"

I saw that on TV approximately a million times when I was a kid.
How are you still sane?
He's not sane, he's likeafox!

WE MUST BAN SANDBOXES!
OR THE TV SHOW! OR BOTH!

Meanwhile, WHERE was Mr. Quantrille, the father, during all this?

Now let's wait for the inevitable let's sue Home Depot or wherever the play sand was purchased. Let's not stop there though. Let's sue all TV stations in general for making such impressions on our kids. Here's a little something the parents could've tried to prevent this. It's a little thing called adult supervision. Seriously at least one adult needed to be out there with em. Gosh darnett the lack of common sense. Can't say too much though, I let myself get buried in the sand a good bit while at the beach. Never my head though. Geez. The worse thing to come out of my situations would be the occasional tickling but other than that, all was well.

Whenever I post/mail/etc links to that video, I always label it as "Massachusetts Family Institute releases anti-homosexuality Public Service Announcement". Now, imagine having read that before having seen the video. Free lulz!

Sheriff's deputies interviewed the five children who were in the sandbox with Cody. None of them were detained or taken into custody.
Did no one find this statement a little troubling? Like they were expected to take some toddlers down to the station for questioning!?

I actually a vaguely recall you doing exactly that at c8world!

Oh well, to my credit the last time I linked this video I began it with, "I wished someone had shown me this last night. =("
Who sleeps shall awake, greeting the shadows from the sun
Who sleeps shall awake, looking through the window of our lives
Waiting for the moment to arrive...
Show us the silence in the rise,
So that we may someday understand...

You have a point there. And this was Washington, not Florida or Texas.

Wow... so yeah I was on a site looking up a video of this... and you know how sometimes they show an ad before the video? The ad was of some cars driving through a giant sand dune with a giant sand shovel and things like that.

How tasteless is that?

And I'm just glad the parents are petitioning to get Naruto banned or anything. It's nice to know some people know what the word "accident" means.

Meh. It's what the world is coming to.

As for the kid, I'm not surprised he's dead *behind the times*
