Ty toys stay tainted

They said they'd change it, but they changed their minds without telling.

Is this company even going to pretend to have a reason other than selfish greed?

Any company that pretends to have any motivation other than greed isn't a very trustworthy company. Companies exist to make money and to make as much money as possible.

However, publicly fighting against a state to keep unsafe toys out there isn't a clever way to continue to make money. I'd call this a pretty stupid business move, because while people won't go into a toy shop and think, "This is a toy produced by the unsafe manufacturing people, unscrupulous bastards that they are!", the suppliers will stop stocking because of the potential for hassle.

In other words, they're shooting themselves in the foot here. Corporate greed should be impressive and intelligent, not short-sighted and belligerent.

Huh. I had suspected that by now the list consisted of "all of the above."

I have agree with the state attourney general's office and federal Consumer Product Safety Commission on that. Ty's argument is stupid. If federal law invalidates state law just because a FEDERAL LAW FOR IT DOESN'T EXIST, state laws would be nothing but a mirror of federal law and have no purpose at all. The ones that aren't would be "more like guidelines than actual rules".
