Define Cynical Fan Forums

I saw this on DCS's LJ page, and since I don't have a LJ of my own, I thought it might be fun to try this little game here:

Step 1: Put your MP3 player or whatever on random.
Step 2: Post the first line(s) from the first 30 songs that play, no matter how embarrassing the song. If the name of the song is in the first line, post the first line that does not contain the song's name.
Step 3: Let everyone you know guess what song and artist the lines come from.
Step 4: Bold out the songs when someone guesses correctly. Comments will be SCREENED until then.
Step 5: Looking them up on Google or any other search engine is CHEATING.

Only difference is there'll be no screening of posts. But I will try to edit this original post when someone gets a right answer. I guess it'll have to be first come first served. But hey, help each other out then!

I agree. 30 lyric verses take up too much space and create confusion. So, therefore, i'd like to second what Tom F. says.

Well I half agree with you, It is "I'm a Beliver" but the version I know is By Smash Mouth, not the Monkees

Also, I think I might know 9., but I can't... remember... the song name...

EDIT: My Player just rolled over it, and It's "Livin on the Edge" by Aerosmith right?

I updated the original posts with the correct answers and who got them so far. I'm not sure how long I should wait to reveal the rest of them though. Maybe by the end of the week?

You know, I was thinking the same thing as I was putting this together. Next person who takes charge after me should probably think about doing that.

Have you seen half the song chioces in my sig? Chances are whoever did that is not in my song collection, so I wouldn't know. I don't know about anyone else though.
