Words.
Who sleeps shall awake, greeting the shadows from the sun
Who sleeps shall awake, looking through the window of our lives
Waiting for the moment to arrive...
Show us the silence in the rise,
So that we may someday understand...

Of six boys, exactly two are known to be thieves. However, when questioned they accused others.

Henry said: Charles and Gordon.
Jim said: Don and Tom.
Don said: Tom and Charles.
Gordon said: Henry and Charles.
Charles said: Don and Jim.
Tom couldn't be found.

Four of the five boys questioned had correctly named one of the thieves and lied about the other. The remaining boy had named neither thief.

Who are the thieves?

Tom and Charles?
Correct.

A man is standing at the centre of a thin island, one mile long. There is a fire moving from point A, on the western end of the island, to point B, on the eastern end of the island. The fire is being carried along by a 2mph westerly wind, which means that the fire will reach B in 30 minutes. The man is unable to leave the island, and the entire island is covered in dry forest. What can he do to avoid burning to death?

Start a fire going away from him so that by the time the first fire gets there it's already burnt(And thus cannot burn a second time)?

Correct - although the practicality of that is disputable.

A - 10
B - 0111
C - 0101
D - 011
E - ?

A - 10
B - 0111
C - 0101
D - 011
E - ?
I also think it's 1, but I may be way off. Huffman encoding against the alphabet "ABCDE" would result in A, B, C, D, and E being encoded as 10, 0111, 0101, 011, and 1, and since you told us what A through D are, E must be 1.

A - 1
B - 11
C - 21
D - 1211
E - 111221
F - 312211
G - ?

Here's another one!

You have a 53-card deck: 52 normal non-trick cards (this is not a trick question), plus one joker. You shuffle it up and deal out cards, stopping as soon as you deal the joker. What's the probability that you deal all four aces before dealing the joker?
