Werewolves

[Rooster]

"Giz!" Rooster shouts. "Take my lighter!"<br><br>He tosses the lighter down the hole.

[Gizensha]

"Thanks!" He calls back up. He fumbles round for the lighter, finds it, then uses it. It basically doubles his field of vision down here. He resumes heading towards the door.

[Richard K Niner]

Richard reaches the abandoned floor of the large room, exhausted from the number of stairs he just descended. Oddly, the room seems empty. He looks up. The bridge seems just high enough to be invisible above him.<br><br>Surrounding him is what appears to be a large number of computer terminals, all abandoned, yet still running; their internals fans are spinning at full speed. Richard approaches one, and sits down in front of it, staring at the screen saver. It looks familiar, and he can't figure out why.

[Gizensha]

Walking through the door at the end of the pit, he encounters the same bridge. "...What in the hell?" He mutters to himself. "This seems like I've just walked into a generic sci-fi..." He pauses, realising the implications of what he's saying. "...Chamber. Oh." He thinks... "So... Someone <i>is</i> manipulating us... But why? Is it the tv show, or... Some sort of psychological experiment. Maybe we're labrats..." He shudders, wondering how big a piece of cheese he'll be given and how deadly the poison in it will be if it turns out he's right and they realise he's figured it out. He pushes those thoughts to the back of his head. "Gotta find Richard..." He murmers to himself, as he crosses the bridge and starts to head down the stairs.<br><br>"Hello? Anyone here?" He calls out, not sure if he wants a response or not.

Richard finds the mouse, and moves it. Apparently, whoever was previously using the terminal liked reading webcomics; a copy of some sort of web browser was in the topmost window of the disply, openned the Ozy and Millie webpage. <i>Well, doesn't look like there was any time travel involved</i>, thinks Richard, <i>This is yesterday's comic.</i><br><br>Richard clicks on the minimize button to see if anything more important is afoot. A small terminal window is open below the browser. In it, a message about werewolves being released is displayed. <i>Thought so,</i> continues Richard. He moves the window aside, and glances at the desktop background. A giant <!--emo&--><img src='http://definecynical.mancubus.net/forum ... minati.png' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='dragon_illuminati.png' /><!--endemo--> is situated right in the middle.

[Gizensha]

Gizensha eventually reaches the bottom of the stair case. He looks round. Sees the lot of computer terminals. Then sees Richard at one of them. "Hey. Found anything interesting?"

[Richard K Niner]

"Well, yeah," responds Richard. "You were right - this is somebody's idea of a joke. Also, it appears that this isn't somewhere in the past." He turns the monitor to Giz, and restores the web browser.

[Gizensha]

Gizensha hums... "A bit elaborate for a joke, don't you think? ...And wasn't that a Dragon Illuminati wallpaper? I think you're 'reality tv' idea is more likely... Lets just hope that means every death here is just a fake..." He thinks for a bit, before adding "But, for the record, lets also assume that it isn't because it's not a hypothesis I'd particually like to put to the test..."

Richard looks back at the monitor. Then it hits him. "What day is it?"<br>

[Gizensha]

Gizensha thinks. "...Friday. Specifically July 8th. Or maybe July 9th and a Saturday the way night seemed to suddenly break, assuming it indicates accelerated time..." He cuts himself off before he starts on a rant. "Umm.. Why?"

[Richard K Niner]

Richard points at the terminal window. "9 July 2005 @ 11:00pm: The werewolves have been released from chamber 3. ETA in control room, 30 minutes." Richard looks at the clock, which reads "23:29".<br><br>Richard suddenly stands up and listens. He takes out the magnum.

[Gizensha]

Gizensha quickly checks through his pockets again, since if everyone else got something of some sort of use, surely he's got something as well. He feels something round in his trouser pocket, which he probably just dismissed as worthless before now, picking it out, and looking at it he blinks... "Silver... I just hope these are the more wussy style werewolves that don't require it to pierce the skin for silver to be har--" The entrence of the werewolves cuts him off. "Keep your back to the computer terminal. That way, we can make sure they don't come at us from the rear."

[Richard K Niner]

Richard does as he's told. As his back comes in contact with the terminal, he accidentally hits the mouse, causing it to click on a desktop icon. The lights in the room flicker off.<br><br>"Uh oh," says Richard, ominously.

[Gizensha]

Gizensha flicks the lighter open again, for the little help that will give. He attempts to focus on his sense of hearing while his eyes adjust to the dim light. He gulps nervously as he waits for the werewolves to make their presence known. Probably while attacking one of the two of them.

[Rooster]

Rooster sits by the hole and waits for the others to come back. The cavern is illuminated by the light from the door Bocaj is holding open way back up the stairs. He pulls out a cigarette and then realises that his lighter is elsewhere. He sighs and puts it away.<br><br>He hears a noise behind him and turns around.<br><br>"Bocaj?" he says nervously. "Is that you?"<br><br>He hears more movement in the dark, and peers desperatly to try and find the source.<br><br>"Quit screwing around man!" he says. He hears a growl behind him and freezes. He very slowly turns around to be faced with a pair of red werewolf eyes. He gulps down the fear in his throat and begins to back away. He backs into another werewolf.<br><br>He screams.
