Because America was still at war for its independence, Congress did not have time to sit around debating all the nuances and different forms of government they could play with.

Hi Everyone,
Winter is definitely here and with it comes the heat challenges within the building.
Everyone has different preferences for heat and cold and as such the thermostats get a workout during the winter.
Please be aware that if the thermostat is situated in or near your cube or office it does also control the work areas
near you. For the comfort of all the thermostats should be set between 68 & 74 degrees.
Some facts on the heating:
-If the levers are pushed all the way down past 50 or above 80 there is the possibility of damaging the unit by either
overheating or seizing the compressors.
-The thermostats work in tandem with each other so shutting one down or up too high causes the nearby ones to overwork
to compensate for the temperature differences.
-All the thermostats that have 2 levers on the bottom should always be set to AUTO. This regulates the system so if the
temperature goes below a certain degree the heat will kick on and if it gets above the other temperature the AC will kick on
to cool it back down to the desired temperature.
-If you see a red light lit on the top of the thermostat it needs to be reset by the building folks so moving the levers
will do nothing to correct the problem.
-All heating and thermostat issues should be sent to the building help mailbox.
The building help mailbox is monitored throughout the day by my Team and we send work order requests to the building maintenance folks.
-If you send the request directly to me and I am in meetings or out of the office the email will go unnoticed until my return.
Sorry this is so long but I hope by sharing some of these facts about the heating units it will help us all to stay warm this winter.
Thanks,
Karen
