Werewolves

[Bocaj Claw]

"What happens after they wake up? We can't stay here without food. And we can't stay here with the... <i>bodies</i>. What are we going to do?"

[Richard K Niner]

Richard looks around a few of the rooms, finding a shovel. "We bury them, I guess..."<br><br>Suddenly, Richard runs to the front door, and opens it. A third set of pawprints walks up to, and pauses, in front of a bloodstain just outside the front door.

[GhostWay]

GhostWay, struggling to get down the stairs with his back pain, notices that one of the steps sounds oddly hollow.<br><br>"Hmm. . . I wonder. . ." He goes down a step, then pulls hard on the suspicious step, prying it open. Underneath is a hidden compartment. "Ah! A crossbow. Low-tech, but effective." He slings the crossbow and quiver over his shoulder, replaces the step and continues down.

[Richard K Niner]

As Richard stares at the third set of pawprints, he suddenly remembers the entirety of his dream. "Say, um, guys?" Richard begins.

[Bocaj Claw]

"Er... yes?"

[Richard K Niner]

"We should probably bury Ruedii first, seeing as how, you know, he was the first one to die last night, and all. Then we could come back and deal with the three bodies here."

[Bocaj Claw]

"I'll go with you then. I guess... its the least I can do."

[Richard K Niner]

"Thanks," replies Richard, grabbing the shovel, and walking out onto the quiet street. He makes his way back south.

[Richard K Niner]

Ten minutes later, Richard and Bocaj arrive at the stretch of the road where Ruedii's corpse lies. Richard begins to dig a hole by the side of the road. As he looks over to the other side, he spots the southbound tracks, and points them out to Bocaj.

[Bocaj Claw]

"What does this all <i>mean</i>?"

[Richard K Niner]

"I'm beginning to suspect that those werewolves managed to infiltrate our group. At some point when we all fled, they must've caught and <i>changed</i> one of us. We know that they changed somebody last night. Those pawprints head right to where we met up."<br><br>Richard finishes digging the grave. "The question is, who?"

[Bocaj Claw]

"Who could it be? Have any of us acted strange enough to warrent suspicion? ... Well if there is a werewolf among us then theres only five of us who it could be <!--emo&<_<--><img src='http://definecynical.mancubus.net/forum ... ns/dry.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='dry.gif' /><!--endemo--> "

"Honestly, I don't know. But I figured that somebody should know. Tails was already getting suspicious, Rooster too. I'm not accusing anyone, but its looking more and more like they were onto something..."<br><br>Richard lower's Ruedii's body into the grave.<br><br>"Eulogy?"

[Bocaj Claw]

"Rest in peace."<br><br>Richard buries Ruedii, then makes his way back to the settlement.
