First of all 165 F equals to roughly 73.8 C, which is a ridiculously high number that has never been measured in natural temperatures. A more accurate number would be 134.6 F (57 C) for the highest recorded temperature at Death Valley. However even that's not the highest. To the best of my knowledge the hottest recorded temperature was 136.4 F (58 C) in the Libyan Sahara desert.
